it never rains but it pours..
ha i really liked the cool weather of the moonsoon season. BUT it is making my papers soggy-ish even though its not wet. it is making my clothes not dry. hey we really need the rain ofthen now and then to remind us all that there is always a rainbow out there ! what comfort to know ..(:
haha.. rain is a sign that soon troubles will be over and yea man we can always give thanks for the rain too!
i wonder if the canoeist are much more bonded since they ran through the rain, across distances , its really like the sunshine through the rain that they had been together..! whee

hmm.. they say this year began on a sad note..and one year on, i believed through the struggle for hope and peace, they are stronger than before. my heart goes out to those who went through the disaster on the 26 dec 04. how they managed to look beyond and hope for the future. having travelled to other countries also opened up my eyes. children in cambohdia, living off the streets, begging for a livlihood, its the glitter in their eyes perhaps that continue to show foth their hope for tomorrow. hmm 10 days of life in china was also interesting.. you get to see things not often practised here. And if you've read today's ST.. you would agree with me that one of the more annoying things would be spitting in public. oh gross.
i wonder does a dirty toilet also annoy people? i definitely am annoyed when smokers smoke in air-conditioned rooms( phew nt much seen here)and definitey applauds those who give and quit smoking for the good of their health. cheeros.

hm. wat would it be like to live to a 100 years?
ha, centuarians have the answer! it just takes longer and longer for them to tell you!. Todays' Life featured an article on centuarians and they seem to live a happy life in the rural areas. its like an ideal retirement thing, to retire to a country side with a banjo or a Eucalily to play wiith and self-entertain. ha, i think they have more on life to share, imagine been through the wars of our time and those in the textbook and seen technology progress. imagine reading this off the computer screen. i think being old is not a problem.. it is staying young at heart keeping the smile on when you can barely twitch another muscle.
YUP nice oldies to reminsence and you can really taste the fruit of your labour!( trees live to tt old before they bear fruit!!)

Talking to God with a Deck of Cards
A young soldier was alone in his bunkhouse one Sunday morning over inAfghanistan. It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land minesfor some reason hadn't made a noise. He knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week. As he sat there, he got outan old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk. Just then an armysergeant came in and said, "Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?" Thesoldier replied, "I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with theLord." The sergeant said, "Looks like you're going to play cards." The soldiersaid, "No sir, you see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or otherspiritual books in this country, I've decided to talk to the Lord by studyingthis deck of cards." The sergeant asked in disbelief, "How will you do that?""You see the Ace, sergeant, it reminds that there is only one God.
The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments.
The Three represents the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The Five is for the five virgins, there were ten, but only five of them wereglorified.
The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.
The Seven is for the day God rested after working the six days.
The Eight is for the family of Noah, his wife, their three sons and their wives.God saved these eight people from the flood that destroyed the earth for thefirst time.
The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy. He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him.
The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tabletsmade of stone.
The Jack is a reminder of Satan. One of God's first angels, but he got kickedout of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal lakeof fire.
The Queen stands for the bride of Christ, which is called His church, or body ofbelievers that wait for his return.
The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings. When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for everyday of the year].
There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week,52 weeks in a year.
The four suits represent the four seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter. Each suit has thirteen cards; there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.
So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for."The sergeant just stood there and after a minute, with tears in his eyes andpain in his heart, he said, "Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?"
"If My people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear fromheaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles7:14

hi all ...
i'm deeply sorry and sort of remorseful if my absence really make you wonder where on earth had i been?
to tell you the truth, i'm not sure about telling the truth as they say the truth hurts .
i'm deeply confused now with an ankle twice as big as before. should i go according to plans ? tell me from above and send me signals- not asking for like in noah's time or balls of fire but let me know more..
oh yeah .. updates..
i was in youth camp in malaysia this past week and that's where i got my swollen ankle too . it was just a rounds but upon the 15 one i guessed to stop me , i had a slight twist of fate-ankle. it was a reoccuring twisting of the ankle and i guessed it really hurts this time as the rush of nerves and a rush of liquid sent to the area proved a swollen ankle.
guessed i should have toned down at times and this really was it
but one good thing that came out of it was tt dependency not on man but rather more on God.
melissa and enling came and visited me today! talked and laughed when we 'supposed' to do work. muahhaha-girls , wat can i say?

whoa.. its been a long time..
let me tell you andd update u.(:
i was away on a cambodia mission exposure trip and i must say that i learn many many things from it. In Life, we take things for granted and look around there, the people there basically struggle to get by and by. walking past the villages make me look beyond their material needs and look unto God.
One scene that i remembered well was the scene of the dump site. they rumage and scavaged whatever they could find to help them break out of the circle of poverty. The conditions there, the smell ,the heaps of refuse that could well cover an area equivalent to that of bishan .. really breaks one's heart.
moving on...
they always say dun ask 'why'?
so we ask 'how come?'
if not 'what happened?'
stop!
we should take a moment in time,
slow down..breathe well and think though..
perhaps this way.. we'll begin to understand each other better.
let me tell you andd update u.(:
